Who we are

This notice covers the website of Merriam Body Shop, 5930 Merriam Drive, Merriam, KS 66203, and the private repair links we send you. You can reach us at (913) 362-1198 or info@merriambodyshop.com.

Information you give us

You choose what to send. We use it to reply to you, prepare your estimate, schedule your visit, keep you updated and keep the shop's records.

• Estimate and claim requests: your name, email and phone, your vehicle (VIN, year, make and model), a description of the damage and the photos you add. For an insurance claim, also your insurance company, claim number and whether the vehicle can be driven, if you provide them.
• Fleet and contact messages: your name, email and phone, your company for a fleet request, your message, and any photos you add to a contact message.
• Job applications: your name, email and phone, the position and your message. The site does not ask for a résumé.
• Photos: JPEG, PNG or WebP images. Before a photo is stored, our server re-encodes it and removes its embedded metadata, such as camera details or location.
• Repair approval: if we send you a link to approve an estimate, we record the name you type, your drawn signature, when you signed, and the estimate and terms you approved.

Emails we send

When you send a request, we email you a confirmation and notify the shop. We may also email you about an appointment, or send you a private link to follow your repair.

Private repair links

Links to follow your repair or approve an estimate contain a private code. Anyone who has the link can see what it shows, so please keep it to yourself. These pages never load analytics or advertising tools. The shop can turn a link off, and links can expire.

Information collected automatically

• Hosting and security: like any website, our hosting provider processes technical information such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and protect the site. To limit spam, our server counts recent submissions using a pseudonymized network identifier.
• Your browser: while you fill in a form, your answers are kept in your browser's session storage so a reload does not erase them. They are removed when you close the tab. Your cookie choice is also saved in your browser.

Analytics and advertising cookies

With your OK, we use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, and Google Ads to measure whether our ads lead to estimate requests or calls.

• We record events such as a page view, a completed request with its type only (Self Pay, Insurance, Fleet or Contact), a completed job application, or a tap on a phone link. We never send Google your name, email, phone number, VIN, claim number, photos or messages.
• Before these tools load, we remove from the page address anything other than Google's own ad click identifiers.
• We do not use these tools to show you personalized ads.
• If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as Decline.

You can change your choice at any time: Cookie choices, also at the bottom of every page.

Google handles this data under its own policies: how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Service providers

Companies that run parts of the site for us process information on our behalf:

• Vercel hosts the website.
• Supabase stores our customer records and uploaded files, privately.
• Resend delivers our emails.
• Google provides analytics and ad measurement, only if you accept.

Security

Customer records are available to signed-in shop staff only, uploaded files are kept private, and repair links can be turned off or expire. No method of sending or storing data is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
